Franconia Paper Mill Dam Removal 2014

Recorded over the course of a week, this video documents the removal of the Franconia Paper Mill dam in Groton, VT.  For decades, this structure blocked the flow of the Wells River and limited sediment and debris in moving downstream.  Now fish can travel upstream and people can enjoy the resource safely.
Produced in cooperation with the Connecticut River Watershed Council and made possible
through an environmental grant from Patagonia.
