West Branch White River Restoration


Green Mountain and Finger Lakes National Forests’ restoration of the West Branch of the White River following extensive gravel removal in the aftermath of Tropical Storm Irene in central Vermont.  This video highlights the the restoration of the river to help maintain fish populations, including use of large wood in place of riprap to stabilize and reconstruct embankments.
